Economics & THS Study Tour to Seoul

From 20 to 24 July, the Economics and Tourism and Hospitality Studies (THS) Departments jointly organized an educational study tour to Seoul, South Korea, offering students an immersive, cross-disciplinary experience. The 5-day itinerary provided students with multifaceted exposure to national economic institutions and hospitality management. Participants gained firsthand insights into hospitality operations through an executive-guided tour of hotel facilities, explored financial systems at the Korea Exchange (KRX) and the Bank of Korea Money Museum, visited the Anyang Smart City Integrated Center, and observed corporate franchising at Kyochon Academy. Additionally, field trips to Nami Island, the Hongdae Commercial District, and the National Aviation Museum of Korea enabled students to analyze real-world tourism management, cultural branding, and aviation infrastructure. Throughout the journey, students synthesized classroom concepts with practical industry practices, culminating in evening group reflections and project presentations. This collaborative tour successfully broadened students' global perspectives, deepened their business acumen, and enhanced their self-directed learning capabilities.

 

7 月 20 日至 24 日，經濟科與旅遊與款待科（THS）聯合舉辦了韓國首爾教育考察團，為學生提供沉浸式的跨學科學習體驗。在為期五天的行程中，學生全方位接觸了當地的國家經濟機構與酒店管理模式。

 

考察期間，學生在酒店管理層的導賞下參觀酒店設施，親身體驗酒店營運；亦造訪了韓國交易所（KRX）及韓國銀行貨幣博物館，深入了解金融體系；此外還參觀了安養智慧城市整合中心，並在橋村炸雞學院（Kyochon Academy）觀察企業的特許經營模式。同時，學生亦前往南怡島、弘大商圈及韓國國立航空博物館進行實地考察，藉此分析現實中的旅遊管理、文化品牌打造及航空基礎設施。

 

整個旅程中，學生將課堂知識與行業實際運作融會貫通，並於每晚進行小組反思及專題呈請。這次跨學科考察團成功開闊了學生的國際視野，提升了他們的商業敏銳度，並加強了自主學習的能力。
