Student Excellence and School Spirit Shine at 43rd Annual Speech Day

 

The 43rd Annual Speech Day was held with great success on November 22, 2025, a proud occasion to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students and graduates across academics, sports, arts and service. This year’s event was highlighted by the exceptional performance of a top HKDSE scorer, WANG Haibo Henry.

 

Parents, alumni, teachers, and distinguished guests gathered at HKCWC Hioe Tjo Yoeng Primary School - a venue generously provided by our affiliated partners as our campus undergoes redevelopment under Project NOVA. 

 

Following a solemn flag-raising ceremony, our School Supervisor, Dr. Man Yee Fun, Evelyn, delivered a welcoming speech. She commended the Class of 2025 for their excellent results in the HKDSE and reminded everyone of two enduring values: “Attitude” and “Gratitude.” Principal Mr. Yeung Chi Keung subsequently presented the school report, outlining the past year’s milestones, including notable achievements in inter-school sports competitions.

 

The school was honoured to welcome Dr. Sze Chun Fai, Jeff, JP, Under Secretary for Education, as Guest of Honour. A top scorer in the HKCEE with 10A grades himself, Dr. Sze extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates. He praised the school’s commitment to balanced, quality education and emphasised the growing importance of digital and AI literacy, while urging graduates to uphold the school’s motto, Knowledge and Perseverance, and serve the community with empathy and gratitude.

 

The occasion featured the presentation of certificates and special awards to outstanding students. Notably, Wang Haibo Henry (6B) and Tam Tze Him (6C) were honoured with the Student of the Year Award for their exemplary all-round performance.

 

A distinct highlight was the presentation of the Outstanding Alumni Award to Ms. Ho Yuen Tung (Class of 2005). Recently awarded the Medal for Bravery (Bronze), Ms. Ho’s courage and dedication exemplify the spirit of service the school aims to nurture.

 

The ceremony also recognised nine staff members for long service ranging from ten to thirty-five years. Thunderous applause filled the hall in gratitude for their unwavering commitment. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from a student representative and the singing of the school song, bringing the 43rd Annual Speech Day to a joyful and inspiring close.

香港中國婦女會中學第四十三屆畢業典禮

香港教育局副局長施俊輝先生親臨主禮

 

香港中國婦女會中學第四十三屆畢業典禮於香港中國婦女會丘佐榮學校禮堂隆重舉行。當日，本校有幸邀得教育局副局長施俊輝博士主禮，出席的還有本校校監、校董、各界嘉賓，還有教職員、家長、校友及應屆畢業生，場面十分熱鬧。

 

在校監文綺芬博士致歡迎辭後，楊志强校長報告校務。過去一年，本校致力於實踐「弘毅盡責、敬人自重」的教學主題，鼓勵同學們成為堅毅、負責且具同理心的人，培養高尚品德。在學業方面，中六學生在2025年香港中學文憑試中的平均科目合格率達99.7%，逾九成的畢業生成功升讀本地及海外的大學和專上學院，成績卓越。其中，畢業生王海博更是表現突出，他在所有科目中均獲得5**，包括四個核心科目、物理、化學、生物、經濟及數學延伸部分M2，成為本屆中學文憑考試的「終極狀元」。另外，畢業生符歡憑藉運動方面的非凡成就，通過學生運動員入學計畫直接被香港科技大學錄取。部分畢業生則選擇出國深造，如在國際物理及數學比賽中屢獲佳績的陳愷知，成功被英國劍橋大學錄取，實在令人欣喜。在其他學習經歷方面，該校大力鼓勵學生參與遊學團及交流團，並推動課外活動及社區服務。同學們在各種校際比賽中積極參賽，去年在數學、科學和體育等領域共獲得超過400項獎項，其中兩位同學更榮獲「東區十大傑出青年」，成績斐然。

 

隨後，施博士在訓辭中指出，在科技迅速發展的時代，希望同學們具備良好的資訊素養、抗壓能力和適應力，能在不斷變化的社會中發揮所長。同時，他鼓勵學生勿忘初心，堅持追尋夢想，避免讓人生留有遺憾。

 

頒發畢業證書及獎項的時刻，每當獲得長期服務獎的教職員上台領獎時，台下掌聲雷動，學生們熱情呼喊，場面溫馨動人。最後，應屆畢業生代表致謝辭，表達對母校的感激之情以及對父母栽培和朋友支持的由衷感謝。在全場會眾伴隨悠揚的樂聲高唱校歌中，畢業典禮圓滿落幕。
