Application for Secondary One Discretionary Places (2010-2011)

Explanatory Notes

1.   The number of Secondary One Discretionary Places (2010-2011) in our school for open application is 54.  Our school uses English as the Medium of Instruction (EMI).  Please consider this carefully before submitting your application to our school.

2.   Application Procedure:

Application Forms can be obtained from our school office or downloaded from our school website (http://www.hkcwcc.edu.hk) from 15^th December 2009.  Completed Application Forms should be returned to our school office by hand from 4^th January 2010 to 25^th January 2010.

3.   Points to note for filling in and submitting the Form:

      Application Form must be completed in block letters.  The following documents should be enclosed with the Form for submission:

(a)   Application Form for S1 Discretionary Place issued by Education Bureau;

(b)   one copy of Hong Kong Identity Card OR Birth Certificate;

(c)   one copy of all Primary Four, Primary Five and Primary Six (First Term) student reports and any certificates obtained;

(d)   one self-addressed and stamped envelope (long white envelope).

(Note: There is no need to provide recommendation letter of the primary school)

4.(a)   Our school will select applicants for interview on the basis of EDB’s Rank Order List and the applicant’s conduct (Grade B or above).  About 300 applicants will be selected for the interview.  The interview will be conducted in English on an individual basis.  Details about the interview e.g. the date and time will be mailed to these applicants in March.

4.(b)   After the interview, our school will use the following selection criteria to select the applicants.
