Opening speech in the SA Inauguration Ceremony – 29/10/2009
Good morning everyone,
First of all, I would like to express my appreciation to the 2008-2009 Committee Members of the Students’ Association. Through their collaborative effort, the ethos of harmonious and caring relationships among students was enhanced. Students were provided with opportunities to show their respect and love to their teachers and school through the traditional Life-wide Learning Day II. They have fulfilled their duties admirably. They not only showed their concern for the welfare of fellow schoolmates, but also cared about the people from our motherland.
The inauguration of the new committee will now take place. Our congratulations go to all the new members. The SA plays a very important role as a bridge between the school and students. You are the students’ representatives. Most of you have made many suggestions and promises before. You should serve your fellow schoolmates and voice their needs. We have high expectations from you. Actually, the SA has a lot of room for improvement. You should be more active, show initiative and try your best to perform your tasks with confidence. We hope you will carry out your duties with great enthusiasm, and have the courage and commitment to bring about changes.
Lastly, may I wish the new Committee Members of the Students’ Association every success in their work and a fruitful year ahead.
Thank you!
