Principal’s Speech at the launching ceremony of 30th Anniversary – 1/9/2008
Good morning everyone,
Teachers and students, welcome back to school! The academic year 2008 – 2009 is the thirtieth anniversary year of our school, Hong Kong Chinese Women’s Club College. We need to thank our predecessors, the former Principals, teachers and students, who set a good foundation for the school. This year, we will launch a lot of celebration programmes such as a parade on the annual speech day, an open day and a variety show. As the IMC was established in April, we can unite its three important components: teachers, parents and alumni, as well as our students to celebrate this big event. Today we must thank Mrs. Hui, our PTA Chairlady, and Mr. Kwoo, the representative of our Alumni Association for their presence at our launching ceremony. This year will be a memorable one for us and I hope you will all treasure this golden year and take an active part in all the celebration programmes.
We have many new teachers this year and I would like you to respect and co-operate with them. This year’s education theme is “Building on tradition, we reach for new heights”. We will put it into practice. Lastly, may I wish everyone a fruitful and successful 30th anniversary year.
Thank you!
