“Magic in Art” – Choi Chung Lam (4C)
N: Novia D: Daniel T: Timmy C: Candy
D: Hello, Noiva and Candy.
N&C: Hello Daniel, Timmy.
T: Where are you going now?
C: We are going to the library. Our art teacher has asked me to read a book, and I am going to borrow one from the library.
D: A book related to art…. Hum…. Timmy, I remember you have got an interesting book about art. Could you please introduce it to them?
T: Sure. That book is called Magic in Art. It is about paintings that make use of tricks and illusion. The artists have used many skills to fool our eyes.
N: This sounds funny. Could you tell me more about the book?
T: Yes. There is a picture of an animal, which can be a duck or a rabbit. Also, there is a man who is made of different fruits.
C: A man with fruits? This is amazing!
T: There is also a famous painting in the book. It is Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. D: Oh, that painting is very interesting. When you look at the eyes of Mona Lisa, she seems always staring at you.
N: Why? When you paint the person looking straight, why her eyes always stare at the lookers?
T: This is because the painting is flat. Wherever you look at the Mona Lisa from, you always see both eyes and the front of her nose. You will never see the side of her face. So that her both eyes always looking straight at you.
C: The Magic In Art is really interesting. Let’s go to borrow it.
N: OK. Goodbye Daniel and Timmy
D: I am sure you will enjoy the book.
T&D: Bye.
